(01) — The studio

We are a small studio of designers, writers and strategists. We make identities that hold their shape for decades — quietly, precisely, and with an unreasonable amount of care.

Founded in Lisbon in 2014 by Inês Duarte and Tomás Reis. We work with founders and family businesses who think in decades, not quarters.

What we make.

Six disciplines, one small team. Most projects combine two or three of them.

(04) — Process

(04) — Process

How a brand gets made.

Fourteen weeks, four stages, one team from first call to launch day.

Step 01 / 04

Listen.

Listen.

We start with conversations, not concepts — founders, customers, the people on the shop floor. Then we read everything.

Weeks 1–3 · Interviews, audit, workshop

Loose sketches and notes spread across a desk during a discovery workshop

Step 02 / 04

Distil.

Distil.

We reduce what we heard to one sentence and one idea. Everything we design later has to earn its place against it.

Weeks 3–5 · Strategy, naming, story

Step 03 / 04

Make.

Make.

Sketches become a system: mark, type, colour, voice and imagery. We test it on real things — boxes, signs, screens.

Weeks 5–11 · Identity, packaging, digital

Step 04 / 04

Launch.

Launch.

We hand over guidelines, files and a launch plan, then stay close for the first ninety days.

Weeks 11–14 · Rollout, training, support

(06) — In their words

“Wenika gave us a name people say out loud in our shops. Eighteen months on, it still feels new — and it still feels like us.”
